What are some good solutions to stress/depression problems? I need a lot of help with that sort of thing. Sometimes it seems like there is WAY too much going on in the world for me to handle. Help!

I do suffer from panic attacks occasionally and for the dumbest reasons!

My doctor recommended this exercise for eliminating stress: remenber a situation where you were very relaxed and unstressed. Visualise every feeling, the colors, the smells, the feeling off being relaxed.
If you are feeling just a bit depressed, try doing something you love: walk your dog, watch your favorite film, anything that makes you feel good. If it makes you laugh, it's even better.
If you're depression is worst than that, talk to someone about it. Do the same for stress.
Good luck

Get some music by a band called the Dillinger Escape Plan, learn the words, then scream along.
It also sounds like you try to control your enviroment, that will keep you streesed for ever (till the heart attack kicks in and your outta here), relax, your not the only one who is unsure about tomorrow, there is a whole industry based around that fear, it's called Prozac and I hear it sells real well. Don't beleive what the media tell you you should be, you are you and that's it.
When you get over whelmed by things tell yourself that this is a passing moment and a year from now, this moment wont mean anything, only a memory (if you let it be one that is).
As per the depression, that depends on what it is based on (what causes it), either way you have to let go of that memory that keeps you down because it only keeps you down beacuse you keep going over the event, look at it as a learning event, not something that is supposed to ruin you, it only will make you stronger if you see it for what it is, then aply that thinking to all of life, it's all just passing moments we have to learn to deal with. Nothing lasts forever, not even this life, so try to enjoy it.
Good luck.

Have your Doctor write you out a Prescription for Lexapro - if your stress level gets too high it could result in a panic attack & trust me you do not want 1 of those!

Exercise is good too, but it's limited to taking your mind off of things while you are doing it... This medicine works great - give it a try!

I get away from the situation... I walk off, take a breather... focus on something positive for a few minutes.. if it is involving work, you have to learn to deal with what ever it is, move past it and keep going.. or maybe you need to find a new job.... I have panic attacks going over bridges.. I make sure to talk to myself and remind myself to breath while I am going over it.. if I hold my breath it makes them worse....Exercise is always a good stress relief, if you have the time to work it in when needed...make sure to take some YOU time each week or try for some each day.. dont let it overwhelm you..

I am very sensitive to stress and have had problems with depression, too. Now I am pretty stress free. My job is low stress. It took a while to find the right job. I spend a lot of time alone and relaxing, watching TV, listening to music, reading, resting. I do not hang out with people who have high stress in their lives.

I really know what your talking about hun, trust me, haveing questions about my own mentle issues right now, lol at least i can tell you how i kinda sorda deal with them. When i get overly stressed, or depressed, I like to play with my P.A. C, those are my cats, Chloe' Anne, Patches Grace, and Angel's Cloud. Or i can sit down and read, do a word search, take a nap, listen to music, or draw. Its all in what you can find around you that will allow you to move the stress from being drawn in, to moveing it in a productive, and non harmful way. Who knows what you might find fun in doing. The Key word is experament. Find whats right for you!!

When I am real stressed, I do some tough work around the house or ride the bike really hard, really far.

The key is work out so hard that your muscles will release a natural sedative/pain reliever. This washes the stress away.

for the simplest solutions at least for the moment. take real deep breaths but inhale and exhale thru your nose. this will relax you belive it or not and you wont feel so overwhlem. if you are in an office and have an area outside to sit or just walk around, take a 5 minute break and go outside and just walk around or sit under a tree or on a bench and just get your thoughts in order,.
if you are like me who eats their lunch at my desk, because i dont have enough time to do it all, i sometimes just go to the parking lot and sit in my car, just to be able to catched my breath for 5 to 10 minutes and also because the phones at my office dont stop.

Find someone who will just listen, and spit it all out and cry, cry, cry. I swear after I have a good cry I am exhausted from just letting it all flow out, but I feel SO much better! Also drive alone and listen to some fast and heavy "angry" music, head straight to the gym and get after it. Letting out emotions is a fantastic solution.

I drown myself in music - whether it's listening to it, or actually playing it myself. I also paint - a lot; I suppose I wouldn't be considered an "artist" if I didn't. I also have a lot of animals - without them, my life would most likely suck. When I'm feeling stressed I love to saddle up my little App. mare and scour my backwoods.
