If you mean to remove details in the picture, such as a license plate number, just open up an image editing program like Windows Paint and draw a black box around it.
If you mean to remove data about the picture, such as when it was taken, what kind of camera, etc., download an EXIF data editor to change that information that is stored in the picture file.

Try cropping your photo so it excludes the details you wouldn't want people to see. You could use Adobe Photoshop and select the crop tool. This tool allows you to select a square area of the section you want of your photo.
If you meant the dates on the photo, you could cover the section by using the Clone and/or Patch tool in Adobe Photoshop.
