Getting up earlier or later is not really the issue here. There are a lot of factors to consider. If you do not get enough rest, your body cannot recover fully from all the activities of the day that wear your body down. We repair the damage while we sleep. Also, our growing takes place while we sleep. It you are not exhausted when you retire for the night, you will neither lose nor gain more or less energy.

A good nights rest is the most important thing for your health. It is true that too much sack time can make you groggy in the morning some times, but I think that is because we did not get enough sleep, in the first place.

Not necessarily, perhaps your body clock, is not meant to
get up early in the morning.
