Assuming that it is bought from new stock at the store, and kept at room temperature (pantry) will it last longer than the date imprinted on the can? Some cans don't have a best by date!

Indefinitely as long as the can remains intact, not punctured or bulging. Will be good for years and years. The Arctic explorers left behind their canned food caches and many years later other explorers found them and they were OK.

It would last as long as the can. Most manufacturerers cannot gurantee the can after 5 years and hence the expirations

there is dates on all can food you have to look for it
