Do you not like regular buns or buns in general? You could keep a messy bun. Or you could but it in a ponytail in the back or to the side. Pigtails also could work. French Braids aswell.. here is so much that you could do with your hair to keep it out of your face. If you have bangs aswell, you could use hairclips to keep that out of your face! Hope i helped!

I have very long hair and a style I like is to roll the hair from the front parting on both sides (pick up a strand near the parting and roll it upwards and backwards, then pick up the next strand rolling it in) Carry on rolling the one side till you get to the nape of the neck, then fix with a large claw. Start rolling the hair on the other side until you reach the back. You should then have a long piece at the back which you can fix into a bun or bring it to one side and grab with a band. Now take the ponytail (which should be hanging over one shoulder towards the front) and twist around all down the length and you should have a twisted ponytail hanging over one shoulder to the front. A bit hard to explain how to do - but I can do this in less than a minute and it looks really sophisticated.

You could either french braid it and pull up the end. Or you could just do the bun thing it is not that bad and i dont think that you have a lot of choices unless you cut it off and i dont think thats what you should do. Go to a salon and ask them to look at up do styles and that might give you more options.

I take dance classes to and I don't like buns. Caz I can't put a "proper" bun. You can get braids. When you go to put in a ponytail pull it through once and on the second pull through stop and don't pull it all the way through. It will look like a bun trudt me. You can do the same thing with twistes.

My daughter is in Ballet, and we put her hair up in a claw... you can get some really good ones, that hold a lot of hair.
just pull it into a pony, kinda low.... with out the elastic, then twist it upwards, and close the claw over it. sometimes in the beginning it will make your scalp sore after a while, because you have to do it tight to keep it in.
