the expiration date isnt till Sept 6th, and its honey turkey, but it feels slimey. Is it suppose to feel like this??? It smells ok, and tastes ok, kinda funny but I think thats because I have honey turkey mixxed with mayo... on a sandwich.. Does anyone know if its bad since its slimey. Lemme know please. thanks

I think you'll be OK. If it makes you sick throw it out but as long as it was stored properly it should be safe. This seems to happen to turkey faster than most other cold cuts. Especially cheaper turkey because it is injected with water. Next time you get turkey try and get one that is a little more expensive. The better turkey will break when you fold it like the day after Thanksgiving. It might be a little dry but that's what mayo or mustard are for. The stuff that is injected with water folds like bologna and doesn't taste as good.

its meant to thaw a million day, for each 5 pounds. So it is going to be thawing interior the refrigerator for 3 days pondering your Turkey is 15 pounds..I doubt its thawed all the way already. even with the shown fact that it is going to be in a pair of million day finding on what time you place it interior the refrigerator.

Bring it back to the store - get another one. (Or is it last Sept 6th?) Maybe purchase plain turkey and season it yourself where you know what the ingredients are!

I've had that happen before too. I just towel it off and use it right away. Then throw out the leftover

I would say toss it!
Better safe than sorry. I've always heard that if it's slimy it's no good.
