ok to say do you remember my name is "te recuerdas de mi nombre" and the difference between llama and nombre is this: llama means called so when you say como te llamas your really sayin what are you called. it sounds better in spanish. when you you say que es tu nombre your saying what is your name but that sounds better in english. so its better to say como te llamas. hope that helps and if you need anymore help just email me. i dont promise 24/7 help

You say, "recuerdas mi nombre?" using the familiar form as I'm assuming that she is younger or the same age as you.

Llama comes from the verb llamar which means to call someone or something. Nombre is the Spanish word for name.

Llama=conjugated form of the verb llamar. Llamar is to call. The reflexive form llamarse=to call oneself or to be called. You often heard Cómo te llamas? How do you call yourself or how are you called? Namely, what's your name in English. Like a poster said, that sounds better than Qué es tu nombre? Remember, when speaking another language, exact translation from one's native tongue could be wrong and sound ridiculous because the same idea can be expressed differently in different languages. About "Remember my name", other posters are right.

Remember my name = recuerda mi nombre. Or acuerdate de mi nombre.
"llama" (which is not use like this, usually as "llamala, llamastes, etc, etc) comes from the verb llamar, which is "to call" so llama ..is like saying "hey you, call her" = oye tu llamala.
"llama" also stands for flame, as in a fire flame, and in Peru and some other southamerican places "llama" is the name of an animal.
"nonmbre" means name.
To ask someone if he/she remembers your name: "¿Te acuerdas de mi nombre?, or ¿Recuerdas mi nombre?"

I think it's...

Recuerda mi nombre. - Remember my name.

Usted recuearda mi nombre? - Do you remember my name?

Llamar is to call so if you say, "Me llamo Richard." You are technically saying: I call myself Richard. If you say, "Mi nombre es Richard" it's My name is Richard.

Can You Remember My Name

Llamar is a verb. Nombre is a noun.

*Translations are literal in order to exaggerate distinction*

Como te llamas? = "How do you call yourself?"
Me llamo ____. = "I call myself ____."
Cual es tu nombre? = "Which is your name"
Mi nombre es _____. = "My name is ___."

Como and cual take the place of "what" in these circumstances.
