Myself and my boyfriend have been together a short while and are moving semi-slow because we're both recently out of serious relationships/heartbreak (mine broken engagement, him divorce). We're doing quite well except one thing..he's very open about how he feels towards me, including all the corny things most people will never say, and we are intimate on a regular basis without having our relationship based on it.. but he's not physically affectionate towards me. He loves it when i give him affection so i can't assume he's just not into physical affection.. he barely ever touches me. I hold him, kiss him ect.. but the most i can get from him without asking is an occasion brush or hug when i'm leaving.. it's as if i'm in highschool again!
When I brought it up to him casually he denied it, and i honestly think he thinks he is affectionate..
How do i talk to him, or get him to touch me?

We are having sex haha, it's otherwise that i'm having the problems.
He doesnt ask me for the affection i give him but he is very honest about liking it.

Just telll him may be he thinks he will make you think that he just wants you physically.So tell himthat you need some more physicall attention.I think he just espects you at the same time.So if you talk to him you may get more attention physically with the same anount of respect.You probably desrve to be.good luck

I would just be upfront and honest with him. My boyfriend does that sometimes too. But most of the time he's pretty good. Maybe he thinks that you are not into the physical affection thing since he has to ask you. But to be completely honest, you are not going to know what is up with him by putting this question up here. I mean, I hope I'm not sounding rude, but how are we supposed to know what he is thinking? The best way to figure it out is just talk to him. It may be that his previous girl wasn't into the PDA.

It could be very simple. Perhaps his mom and dad were never physically affectionate (in front of the kids) and he just doesn't see as ordinary behavior.
Here's a suggestion. Buy some massage oils. Get naked. Ask him for a massage. Tell him how much you like the touching. Reward him after. You know you want to.

or maybe you are not that good looking and hes looking for a relationship that is based on communication

GET OUT NOW.I was and am in a similar situation. what you are saying is he loves when you please him,but makes no attempt to please you. no hugs, no kisses, no real affection. well I grew tired of explaining that this woman needs more than a p****.I like affection.He never got it and still doesn't,So after awhile you start to feel used and dirty.at least I did so now we no longer have sex, because I can't sex a man that have no feelings for and without tenderness and kisses and kind words outside of bed, my feelings for him have died. yet he still doesn't get it. so, he doesn't get it from me

Hiya, thats a difficult one to answer. I can empathise with you entirely, if i was in his shoes maybe he doesn't want to be too much touchy feely incase it puts you off him. He is obviously being very patient and respects you, give me a message when the stag night is.
