Hello- I thought I would throw this out to the community here and see what people thought. My wife, some friends of mine, and I run a non-profit that assists landmine and bomb accident s survivors in Vietnam, Cambodia and on the Thai-Burma Border.

Our organization is called Clear Path International.
Check out our website at www.cpi.org.

We just received a matching grant for our work in Vietnam from the US Dept of State... so they will match donations to us.

My question: What do YOU think would be a great way for us to raise awareness of our efforts? What can you think of that we have not yet?

Thanks!

James

I am a Rotarian and working on developing projects in Vietnam myself. Some of my challenges parallel yours.

You should focus on publicity. Get as much media exposure as you can on what you're doing. Send out press releases to news sources. Use the Internet to spread the word. Start a blog and document your success. Anything you can possible think of in getting the word out about what you're doing.

Good luck to you!

One problem is that Americans don't really consider the plight of other Americans, much less those maimed overseas.

HAve you thought about a celebrity endorsement?

that is a fantastic cause. i think if you can raise awareness - by ads, or articles, or commercial campaigns - you would get more donations. if you got a celebrity interested in your cause, it could really help. angelina jolie, for example.
