Use a scrunchy, they wont dent as much.

Try not using a rubberband and using a cloth tie or make a pony tail and use a piece of hair to wrap around (so it doesnt look like you have a rubberband in your hair) and secure it with bobby pins. How about doing something else with your hair for the party? How about curl your hair and use lots of hairspray, then pony tail it, and when you go to the party, hairspray, scrunch, and go!

cant you use a head band or anything to pull the hair out of you face, is that allowed? if not then the answer is pigtails low, loose pigtails that way the elastic wont dent your hair and it will still be up.

don't make the ponytail too tight. if it still makes a dent just re-straighten that.

Use an iron and you should be able to get rid of the [dent].

Just get a shower right after your cheerleeding.

you can try putting it up, and then just restraightening it before the party...that is pretty much your only option
