The problem is that you asking uncultured people this question. I'm sure they eat fish and chips and chicken tikka masala.
The name Sherry is a corruption of the Spanish city 'Jerez'. If you visit Andalucia you should visit the Bodegas in Jeraz where they make sherry. The British tend to think of sherry as a sickly-sweet concoction. In fact many great sherries are bone dry and very refreshing when serve well-chilled. If I could suggest trying a sherry called 'Manzanilla' to start with. It is very dry, slightly oaky and wonderful when served with a plate of prawns. Believe me - try this and you will change your opinion of sherry! Go to any good wine shop and ask for 'manzanilla'

I only drink croft orig on christmas day and end up by having the whole bottle while cooking the dinner, then i go onto the wine, hey the dinner always taste great

Christmas. Its tradition; and it gets you merry. I like the more expensive corked one. It tastes slightly oaky, and is quite mellow.
