people say that hair grows faster cause you get cold....is that true? and if so...why?

It does mine, I have to shave my legs 3 times a week to prevent stubble and man that is a chore.

Not exactly. When you get goose bumps it's forcing the hair out a little, but when the goose bumps go away so does the hair. It's kind of like when a cat or dog has their furs standing on end when they're in a fight. The hair is sticking straight up, making it look longer, but it's really not.

it may look longer on your arms when you get goose bumps because your skin has shrunk for a minute but as far your hair on your head NO

i dont think so, i think it just looks that way because the goose bumps make your hair stick out more

I think what happens is that when you have goosebumps while shaving, the blade does not get as close to the skin so you need to shave again sooner.
Also, goosebumps make it look like your stubble is sticking up more.

I believe so. I will shave my legs in the shower...get the chills...and then I can feel my hair already.

i guess it could make sense: more hair would keep us warmer when we're cold, but then if that were true, we'd have a lot hairier arms I think.
