If it's a virus - the Computer Associates (one of the largest Anti Virus manufacturers) provides free home user AV for Microsoft Operating Systems.
You can get it at: http://www.my-etrust.com/microsoft/
Trust me it's worth it. That software is commercial quality and is awesome.
For spyware - download SPYBOT. Just google it.
