I just purchase a 2002 GMC Siera Pick up truck and would like to see if it has been in an accident.

Look at the welds. Do they look factory. Is there overspray in the jambs. Take it through a puddle then on dry pavement and see if the rear tires are in line with the front. Look underneath. Does the frame look modified? Do the body panels align? Does the paint match? Does all the paint have the same texture? These all can be signs that a vehicle has been in a wreck.

i know that you can look it up on a website. for example here in texas we go to the department of transportation website and your sticker on your truck has a vin number. you can look up its history on it. Hope that helps!
