Well if you are a xian apologist you would say "god did answer, but he answered 'no' " , or "you didn't have enough faith" This is in spite of numerous passages in the NT where Jesus himself says "whatever" you pray for shall be granted. (* Matthew 7:7 Matthew 17:20 Matthew 21:21 Mark 11:24 John 14:12-1 Matthew 18:19 Mark 9:23 Luke 1:37...to name a few)
If you have a rational mind you might say...maybe this means god is imaginary and prayer is superstition. No prayer has ever come true that wasn't possible just from random chance....pray for something that science says is impossible...it won't happen.

Each day, many people pray that nothing happens. When you think of all the bad things that are out of your control, perhaps you might consider adding your prayers to that.

You do what you can to make it happen - you pray for strength to do what needs to be done, and for what is right, don't expect to get what you want just because you want it - that's not how life, or prayer, work. If you are unable to get what you believe you need then you accept what you have and keep going.

Praying is useless. Try asking for help from actual people or acting upon yourself to better your life and deal with the ad things that happened.

I know how you feel! But look at it from God's point of view. (I know that's not possible, but we can try.) God can do things for us, yes, but God can't let each of us run the universe, can he? God sees from a much broader perspective than we do. Maybe there is some thing we have to learn from these frustrations. I can't speculate on your particular situation, but how about asking God for an explanation? Spend as much time asking for wisdom and understanding as you do for some other favors? Sometimes that helps.

Maybe your praying to the wrong god? Maybe your god doesn't care? Maybe no-one can hear your prayers but you?
It isn't rational to expect god to answer prayers. Everyone would be a lotto winner, no-one would ever die or suffer serious injury, etc. Clearly that isn't how the world works.

You could deduce you were praying for the wrong thing, or the wrong reasons.
Don't confuse God with Santa Claus.
