to my knowledge there is two ways of bulb fixing. one is screwing in clockwise and anticlockwise to take out. another tyoe of bulb is with two pins on the side of the metal part . this type is used in some contries only. the pin tipe bulb is fixed by push and turn clockwise and other way to remove it

One is for commercial production and the other is for the government.
It is designed that way so as not to have people steal the bulbs for their own use.
The light bulb screws in one way and the government screws us the other way !

So manufacturers can be bleedin awkward.
How many taxi drivers doe's it take to screw in a light bulb?
Three - One to take the long way about doing it, one to ask directions, and one to get it completely wrong; yet still keep the meter running.

I've heard that places like subway stations use left hand threaded bulbs because they won't work in a standard socket and people are less likely to steal them.

For commercial resaons, when you go buy new bulbs you get the wrong ones, cannot take them back as you have opened the package and then have to buy the right ones, these manufacturers are on a winner.

They don't. They screw in in one direction, and they screw out in the other direction.
