Many Gay women believe in this concept, however they feel it's a basic thing, such as looks, but I am speaking in a deeper terminology, such as dreams, spirit worlds, spirit guides, past lives, a whole diff exsistence with your soulmate from a previous life. This question is directed towards gay women.

I believe that soulmates exist but not so much in the way that most people think of them.
Usually people use the term 'soulmate' to denote a person they have fallen in love with.
Although you CAN fall in love with a soulmate some new agers believe it can be counter-productive when it comes to spiritual evolution and reincarnation.
I beleive that soulmates are simply people that we have lived past lives with. When we see them we automatically feel connected to them inexplicably. Even if we don't recognize them physically.
In fact some suggest that you should stay away from romantic relationships with soulmates because you never know if they were your brother or father in a past life! LOL I've heard of marriages actually failing because of this! My mother-in-laws ex-husband was her father in a past life and it made their relationship difficult. Although, now they still remain good friends (and business partners).
I'm not a homosexual woman... but, spiritually, this is how I feel about it.

Although I'm not a gay woman, I'd like to respond to this. My spirit guide, Hisashi, explained this to me awhile ago. He was also my best friend in my past life. The termonolgy is different than soul mate. There's twin flames and kindred spirits. A twin flame is your spirit split in half only one is feminine and one is masculine. Usually your twin flame will not incarnate when the other one does. The emotional connection is too strong and it makes both very uncomfortable to be around. While you are here, your twin flame is either planning and prepping his/her next life or they are working. Yes, there's work to be done on the other side.
Kindred spirits are a group of spirits who you've had past lives with and collectively, you reincarnate basically around the same time, or in a span of a lifetime. When you meet someone that you've felt like you've known forever or that you have an instant connection with...that's a kindred spirit. You feel familiar with them because you've known them, not only in spirit form but from past lives. My brother in this life was actually my daughter from three past lives ago.

i used to believe in soulmates..... i always felt a pull that seemed to span lifetimes. but i'm not so sure anymore. but maybe i'm just jaded from a bad relationship?
