Son, I don't think you have a clue as to what is really going on. I was raised Catholic and even did 2 years Seminary, and I am sorry, some, I repeat some priests were fooling around with the kids, so don't say oh it's just others attacking the Church. Secondly, you sound more like an old time Knights Templar who just can't wait some Holy War so he can kill himself some infidels or Heretics. You would have been more at home during the inquisition I think, but then your comments smack of what is quickly being recognized as a vile un-christian like zealotry that has begun to permeate the Churches, specifically in the US. Learn more about the truth of where such Zealotry leads then, maybe, you can declare your support without the underlying vanity and pride of your faith, remember, Pride goeth before the fall.

Protestants have many things in common with Catholics. There is a real beauty to the Catholic faith -- the liturgical emphasis denotes so much unity; daily Mass encourages absolute devotion; the ornate ecclesiastical appointments give honor to God. I can't exactly agree with every single point of their doctrinal/dogmatic decrees, but there's a place in my heart for what the Catholic faith does offer.

Well, not very many priests are wrong accused. In fact the number is still under reported due to embarassment, shame and fear.

Did you know that the Catholic Church approved of abortion until 1869? It was OK up to the point of quickening (hardening of the bones) which they said occured at 40 days for males and 80 days for females. Any abortions performed after 40 days were presumed to be female. Nice huh? Don't believe me? search "Catholic Church Abortion position before 1869"

I've seen first-hand the lengths Catholics will go to cover up the crimes of rape and child molestation. By supporting them, you are effectively helping criminals evade the law so that they can molest more children in the future. Why do you care so little about the lives of children?

I'm Native American and I stand with anyone who walks with our Creator in a Sacred Maner. Hypocrits need not come.

Agreed. But I still do not agree with gambling in the church (monte carlo nite), a priest forgiving me of sins (Christ did that), praying to Mary and the saints (they are mortal) and venial and mortal sin (sin is sin).

Go to Ireland and make this statement. Catholics hate Protestants. Doesnt' matter how available you are to them, or how you support them. Catholics hate anyone that isn't them. And yes I said the word hate. Although they would call it "following the word of God."
