Or just having faith in something is what matters?

Personally, I don't think it matters. Everyone is different and they have different values, morals, and opinions. Faith doesn't matter because faith is what is deep within peoples souls. I think that everyone should respect other peoples opinions!

I don't think that having faith is necessary in general, but it does seem to be a good organizer for quite a few people. If the downside of faith (the antiAmericanism, antimodernism, antiscience, etc.) were to disappear I think that it would be on the balance quite a useful and positive thing.

Unfortunately, faith (and the resulting certainty) have led to quite a few major problems, several of which I listed above. Because of that, it certainly does matter what faith others have. We have unfortunately come to worship the false god of certainty, saying things like "I don't agree with them, but I respect them for standing up for what they believe in". Standing up for what you believe in is a BAD thing when you have the wrong beliefs. That's the problem with the grass-roots creationists and anti-abortionists, among others.

What matter is if they have accepted Jesus as their savior or not.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Faith misplaced is vanity and self-serving... and in the end... there will be an eternity of regret if it is misplaced.

Yes, where you put your faith does indeed matter. If it is not for Christ... it is against Christ. It is as simple as that.

It matters one heck of alot!
If not, why did Jesus come?
The Jews had a faith.
John 18:37 explains why Jesus came and many religions are lacking it.

If you are a true Christian (a person who believes in and follows Jesus), you have to believe in only one God. That's the principle of our beliefs. The Word of the Lord (known as the Bible) defines our beliefs. According to John 3:16, you have to believe in Jesus to have eternal life. I can accept others for what they believe and still know that my God is the one true God.

Yes, if you don't accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, that he died for your sins, then you are going to Hell. I wouldn't want anyone to suffer that damnnation for all eternity would you?

religion A says everyone will burn in hell unless choose religion A

religion B says everyone will burn in hell unless choose religion B

result : since people have conscience they do not want others to burn in hell which makes them try to convince everyone to convert...........
