I am not really sure that it makes a difference. I currently have a female and she seems to be doing just fine wtih living inside. My cousin has one female and two males and they seem to be fine as well. As long as you give them enough love, plenty a toys and a great window that they can look outside at then you should be fine. Best of luck!

I have always had Indoor cats in my life and it truly doesn't make a difference, male or female once they are spayed or neutered. Every cat has it's own personality. Currently we have 5 females & 3 males, some of my females a super friendly and some hide when company comes oves, same with my males. Whith kittens, you just never know what kind of personality they will have. My one cat Jill, she's now 8, was very playful and sweet as a kitten, now she is a witch (but I love her!). If you're that concerned, you are better off getting adult cats from a rescue group, preferrable one that fosters the animals instead of keeping them caged up at a shelter. You can talk to the forter and find out how the cat really is.

If you are getting two cats I would get one of both sexes that why there are no fights for dominance. It doesn't make a difference for the indoor part of it as I have a female indoor cat and my cousin has a male and they are both great cats!!

Well i have three female cats and they all go outside through the doggie door but as long as you don't have an easy way of getting out any cat can be an indoor cat.

Well, my auntie had 2 boy cats (at seperate times) and they both caused her a lot of trouble, like being aggressive and dissappearing. After the 2nd cat died (the 1st ran away and never came back) she got a female cat. We also have a female cat and they seem to be a lot less troublesome overall. Our cat and all of her cats lived indoors.

Since you will be "fixing" your kittens their sex won't make a difference. Many cats of both sexes are content to be indoors.
Female and male cats usually display different personalities in my experience. Females can be more indepenent and have "catitude". Males are generally a little more loving and laid back. I have three females and three males. I love them all.
I would try a male and a female.

I'd say female cats do better indoors. But altered males can be fine inside cats too. We did have one once that tended to spray things, even after he was altered. So that could be a concern.

I vote Female. I have 2 of each and the girls are cuddly and affectionate but the males are always getting into things. They are great cats too.. but they are so much happier when we let them out. the girls I can take in the yard without a leach and they wont leave the porch but the boys take off any chance they get.

It doesn't really matter if you get boys or girls or 1 of each. All cats get suited to indoor lifestyle if they grow up in one. If you get a boy and a girl tho, make sure you spay and neuter them.

FIXED cats are happier indoors. Not sure the gender matters. The one I have that likes to try to get outside is male. My other male and my female seldonly, if ever, attempt.
