You know, the word used in the ancient languages to be the "end of time" wasn't "time" like it would be the end of the world, it was "time" as in a long period of time, an "epoch" or 'era". So what really was prophesied was the end of one way of life and the beginning of another. Look at how the world has changed just since around 1850, a time in history that many scholars have calculated to be the "end of time". Industrial revolution changed the way EVERYTHING was done, life as the pioneers knew it was over. We moved from a world order where one person was dominant over a kingdom, to a democratic society (which is still under construction) where people take a much more active role in their own government. Religion has changed too, instead of a pastor or priest dictating what the religious texts say and mean, mankind has matured to the point where we are ready to learn things for ourselves. Yes we will still need teachers and guides to help our understanding, but we no longer need people in elevated positions to be better than us on our behalf.

If you are talking about the earth blowing itself up or life ending, than no, the world is not ending. Throughout history, many faithful believed they lived in the end times, but we're still here and we will prevail as we always have. The stories about the end of days deals more with the end of evil in guise of bigotry, racism, sexism, etc. When man realize that he is one with the universe or God as some call it, then the end of the world as we have known it will have come, I for one look forward to the day.

You can do plenty. Get your soul ready for Jesus return for His chruch. Are you ready? Have you accepted Jesus as your savior yet?

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Mark 13:36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

This means lost and living with out Jesus as your savior.

There is nothing more satanic than trying to bring about the end of the world. If you all can't see that, then you are lost beyond hope.

The idea about the end of the world comes from the Bible.
The Bible also says one can survive the 'end'.....on condition.
We can assume most people want to be survivors, but there is confusion about the conditions.

when we die it's not the end believe me .. i really don't think we are put in this world for no purpose .. it's like a test .. study you get good grades .. slack and have fun .. you flunk .. i'm not saying don't have fun .. fun is an essential thing .. but you have to balance between worshiping god and having fun .. i'm talking in an islamic point of view .. and there is a time when we come out of our graves and be judged by god .. so in my point od view .. the world ends in heaven or hell .. and after that an eternity to live .. i don't think any sane person would like hell !!

see ya

There are some who are afraid of the end of the world as they know it, I am not, because I know where I'm going. The Lord has forgiven me of my sins.
Those that are afraid should ask for forgivness, and if you believe in the Lord,
you will be forgivin. and live in the new world of the Lords glory.

a lot of my Christian friends and myself aren't worried about it. it's almost exciting. it's the day we've been working for through all of time. it's when Heaven goes from perfect to perfect with everyone (who is saved) being in it. can you imagine anything greater than that. although I pray for all who are not taken up in the Rapture because that will be terrifying. God bless you.

sounds good to me

a quote I heard about dealing with problems went something like this: "If there is no solution, than worrying will do no good. If there is a solution, then why worry"
