Here's the problem. I have had moderate to severe asthma since I was a child. At one point doctors thought I had Cystic Fibrosis. What are the highest calorie/fat burning exercises that won't trigger my asthma? Please help!

You can burn more fat by building up your muscle. I assume that your asthma is triggered by heavy breathing such as when you do running. (I'm just guessing since I know very little about asthma)

If you were to build up muscle in various parts of your body, that muscle in turn would help burn more fat. Doing curls with dumbbells would help your arms. Squats, pushups, pullups using your own body weight or if you go to the gym, one of the assisted machines will work. Then walk at a moderate pace. Lower heartrates (+20% above resting eg. resting hr=80, target around 95-110bpm) uses your fat stores for energy. The higher you get your heartrate up, your body will go for proteins (muscle) for energy.

Don't forget to eat healthy. Ideally you want to burn more calories than you take in. Drink lots of water. Try cutting down on fatty foods and white flour products such as white bread and packaged cakes/snacks.

I would say running is the best way to overall get in better shape and burn the most calories. You dont have to run for thirty minutes straight though. You can joj for 10 mins then speed walk then run for like 15. An elliptical machine is also great at burning calories. IF you have access to a swimming pool that is also a great full body workout.

Some areas of your body have receptors in them that one.) tell your body to store fat in those areas and a pair of.) stop fat in those areas being weakened and wiped out. that is the reason it's maddenly not possible to lose fat from your hips and thighs. Increasing the blood flow has been found to shift fat from stubborn areas.
