Awsome does not mean bad. Awsome means 'Incredible'
Wicked means, bad, but when you hear someone say "wicked" about something, he's using the slang term. Wicked in 'slang' just means cool.
'Slang' is an unofficial alternative meaning to words.

Boy, have you got problems!
The English language is rife with slang and ozymorons.
Simply put, we choose to use "fads" for most things(because we're pampered, spoiled and, probably, neurotic as well). AND, the slang(words or meanings for words) varies depending on the geographic area and group. Bottom line: you will NEVER figure it out. New slang will be adopted faster than you can learn the meaning for the old slang. Helpfull hint: the changes normally occur in the younger set. Once a person reaches adult status they will, normally, stay with the slang they learned as youth- PLUS what they pick up from their kids. They have slang dictionaries available, but they're like computer equipment-obsolite before they're printed.

Awesome is slang for something really good. Somebody can tell you something really exciting and you can say to them,Awesome! By the way, you actually just used one because you said that they were used for something that is really "cool". Are you sure you are an English Learner?

Slang is the non-standard use of words in a language of a particular social group, and sometimes the creation of new words or importation of words from another language. Slang is a type of sociolect aimed at excluding certain people from the conversation. But that's not all. It develps with ordinary interaction in a subset of ordinary language development. Slang initially functions as encryption, so that the non-initiate cannot understand the conversation, or as a further way to communicate with those who understand it. Slang functions as a way to recognize members of the same group, and to differentiate that group from the society at large. Slang terms are often particular to a certain subculture, such as drug users, skateboarders and musicians. Slang generally implies playful, informal speech. Slang is distinguished from jargon, the technical vocabulary of a particular profession, as jargon is not used to exclude non-group members from the conversation, but rather deals with technical peculiarities of a given field which require a specialized vocabulary.

Awesome does not mean anything bad. Its meaning is actually quite good. As in whatever you're talking about deserves to be awed.
wicked is slang and I'm not sure how that originated.

Its slang, people use that a lot in the english language. Soon you will learn that the word bad actually means good, it's just people twisting the meaning of words around.

It is just a play on words. As a mother of teenage daughters that seem to make up new words all the time to mean - Good - wonderful, great, ect... I always have to ask them if it means good or bad.
Don't be shy about asking people if something means good or bad, the way teenagers influence "common language" is absurd.
I am 34, college educated, and I still have to ask why they say the things they say.
It is just something to make them look "cool" or important to thier friends - is my guess.
Hope this helps.

Awesome means very good.. Aweful means very bad.. (Awe stands for bad and hence awe-some means less bads..)
People want and like to be bad and negative.. Being a bad-guy is a supposedly cool thing and so words like wicked are being linked to 'coolness'

awesome means 'full of awe' not bad or horrible...
wicked is used because it's a local slang...
Why do you use the word 'cool' when your question has nothing to do with temperature????

They are slang used by young people. No one really knows where they came from and why they mean the opposite of what are being used for...
Slang gets recycled and new ones come along as well.
Use the correct verb-age as too many people kill the kings English as it is...
