Yeah, I read that on an Islamic website about a week ago. Interesting, isn't it? I wonder what word Arab Christians use for God now. Oh well, I'm sure it doesn't really matter. The whole Allah is pagan thing is crap made up by ignorant Christians who want to isolate Islam, as you said. I've always heard that using the name Allah was no different than using God in English or Díos in Spanish, just like 'I Am' might come out as 'Yo Soy'. I am not an expert in any of this, but it seems like a case of attempted alienation of Islam by others who call this claim propaganda. I think the ones who claim it's propaganda are likely to be the ones who are spreading their own propaganda. The problem is, though, that no matter what anyone offers as proof, no one has to believe it if they don't want to.

Actually that is false. If you research beyond Islamic propaganda we find that Allah was the moon god worshiped in ancient Arabia. They still use the crescent moon as their symbol to this day.

The earliest biblical manuscripts have no mention of Allah at all. It was only until after Islam that Allah came to be translated as God in the sense of the God of the bible. This was at the insistence of Muslims. It is now use to mean God in the Arab world by people of all faiths, but it was not so originally.

The God of the bible and Allah are not the same. Allah is a false god with a different message than the God of the bible.

For Years I have pointed out that the little VILLAGE god of TAKRIT was called allah.

Years ago the archaeologists unearthed moon god statues in the Arab countries.

Arabic is a rather simple uncomplicated language and the word allah was adapted/adopted as the name for the TOP god.
It would be highly unlikely that they would pick any name out of the ancient Jewish scriptures!.
