Okay- so you invited two friends and they invited two friends and so on and so on.
That sux- I would tell your husband to grow a pair. No it is NOT OKAY!
I would Call and inform "the invited pair" the Uncle, that there in only room for 6 people on the boat and that they were the last two invited You had other plans for another couple that hubby did not know about when he confirmed with them. You are terribly sorry, but that's life. Please let me know if "you two" will still be able to attend. It was supposed to be hubby picks a couple and I pick a couple. Maybe next time we can all "Chip in" and pay for another boat trip. Hope to see you.
You can be chickenSh*t and just leave it on the answering machine if you like, but you better tell your hubby to grow a pair and back you up on this choice. This is not a compromise.
The Uncle and your husband were both selfish and rude in this situation. Good luck!
Oh that mystery couple will of course have car or baby sitter trouble and can't make it up at the very last minutes before you leave the dock! Leave no time to call in the spare friends.

What a turd! It's your boat. Tell Uncle that he and his girlfriend are uninvited. How about them apples. Your husband should've done the "uninviting" and requested a suitable formal appology made to you. If not, you and your husband should not associate with Uncle until he has had his surgery to pull his head out of his @$$. If your husband doesn't defend your honor....you should dump him too and keep the boat...fight for the boat in court then burn it down.

Well, the Uncle definitely is ballsy. I would still have gone/go because it is my boat too. However, I would also let the Uncle know that it isn't up to him to invite who he wants. Your husband really should have told his Uncle that he needed to talk to you about it first before he okayed it.

I would go with him and let the Uncle know when he's barking orders and inviting people, that this is your boat too and not his . I know people like him an the best thing to do is uninvite them , and never invite them again

Your uncle has no manners and was brought up in a barn. First of all, he is a guest in your boat and does not have the right to invite others along. I would have just jokingly said, hey guy, it is just going to be the four of us! and left it at that. I definitely wouldn't be inviting him out again since he has obviously worn out his welcome.

It's your boat too, the uncle has no right to exclude you. And, what did your husband say about the situation?
