Christianity is about following the word of Jesus. And the most beautiful of all is that his words are full of wisdom, love and peace. We are to help the poor without asking anything in return, to forgive and love our enemy, to seek peace and love.
instead, i noticed that a lot of Chrristians, especially in the US, are hypocrites. I noticed that $ is charged all over the place, that nothing is done for free, that they talk about Jesus but do the exact opposite. What is going on people? Why are we behaving like that? Following Jesus' words is not by going to church every sunday, it's by helping the poor, by loving other people, by caring, by seeing past the shallow mask that people put and see deep inside their hearts. To cure the ill ( sinners) by showing mercy and forgiveness. Isn't it beautiful when you forgive with a kind smile someone who did harm to you? it sounds weird at first, but when someone is forgiven, there is nothing more powerful than the admiration you will get.

I am doing my best. Jesus Christ was the ultimate role model of appropriate behavior. I try to model my behavior after His walk on this earth. I treat others with love, compassion, forgiveness, and understanding. I volunteer with my church youth group and with Special Olympic athletes. I work with children who have behavioral problems. I don't do any of it for "admiration", but because I belief that is what God wants us to do. I also believe that going to church is a big part of being a Christian. We are told to gather together with other Christians to worship the Lord in truth and spirit.

I agree completely with you. I see a lot of Christians judging others. Jesus told us NOT to judge, that it is not our place. We need to set an example in the world of how to live (by living our moral standards, not judging others for not living them), and we need to be loving and giving to those in need, and forgiving. Only by living this way will we ever have any positive influence on people. I see a lot of Christians turning people away from Christianity instead of towards it.

Hello...very interesting!! They look all holy and stuff in church for everyone...but the truth is...the Lord can see that they are lying!! And when it's back to work, then they do the opposite...i think it's because they don't want to look like freaks around people!! But I'm starting to get over that...I'll talk about God if I want...persecute me if you want...but it won't stop me from following my Lord!! Yes...it feels wonderful to forgive someone...but it is difficult...but it's worth it!!

God be with you always!!

It is beautiful to live a life according to the wishes of peace and forgiveness that Jesus brought to mankind. Kindness, even to one's most bitter enemies, is an act that translates to all cultures and religions. Unfortunately, such selflessness is difficult for people who have been raised in a machismo-dominated society like the US where vengeance is more romanced about than forgiveness. For Islam, they call it "the most Perfect Jihad" the TRUE Jihad for a Muslim is to wage his holy wars against the forces of hatred, fear, and greed inside of him/her. External conflict is a "lesser Jihad," and like our Christian brothers, its clear that many are not capable of living according to the real principals of their religion when being a culture/politically driven human is so much easier.

No, sadly, most are just paying lip service to the bloated churches and the new Pharisees who run them. If the Christ were here now, I have no doubt he would once again overturn the money lenders tables and whip the hypocrites who inhabit the house of the lord.

Praise God for your point of view. We live in a very mean, unforgiving culture (in the US) that judges people by what they see, and not about the condition of their heart.

I pray for our country, that the paranoia and hypersensitivity that has gripped us since 9/11 will be replaced by love, acceptance and forgiveness. I also pray for God to touch our populace with love and grace, that, out of gratitude to God for His blessings, we would share this and not shrink back in self-protection.

This is the path that Jesus taught, and I thank you, my beloved Lord and Savior, for your revival. Maranatha!!!

I understand what you are saying we must do more outside the church but we live in a world that is not free you cant expect a church to survive on good deeds.

well, Jesus wasn't a pacifist, if that's what you mean. some of us are hippies and some of us are not. there's a war going on every day for souls that we only catch glimpses of here and there. Jesus wasn't about compromise.

I fully agree w/ you & we must remember that to be forgiven we MUST forgive
we are NOT perfect & will do wrong fr. time to time, but
we must realize when we do wrong, ask God to forgive us
& don't do that wrong/sin again
God Bless
