Today was my son's first day of pre school.. I was happy that he didn't cry going but i cried when i left. It was so hard knowing he is getting big and growing up so fast.. I am so but happy.. How many of you parents went threw this also???

If you cried, but your son didn't cry, then you've done a good job. You've shown him that it's OK for him to be away from you, and he trusts that you'll be back. And I'm not sure that any mother out there dropped off her baby for the first time and didn't have at least a little tear in her eye. Congrats on raising a well-adjusted child.

My son starts preschool on Sept 5th and I feel the same way! I know that he will just run and never look back...and I'm so glad that I have a son who is so outgoing and confident, but at the same time I am so SAD to see him growing up! I know he can't stay little forever, but it's so HARD to accept sometimes. I do feel your pain...and joy! Good luck in all your son's preschool adventures!

well my son is not at that point yet but a few days ago i went with my sister to take her daughter to her first day and she was as happy as can be, she didnt freak out cry, or even get sad, she was soooo happy she didnt tell us bye or nothing she just ran in and started playing with the other kids. my sister was crushed! it didnt bother her that mommy was leaving!

Not hard to send her, it was very hard to PICK her up - my daughter was crying when I was picking her up from daycare first three days - she liked it too much. (Uhm,.... THAT made me feel like s***, honestly). She stopped crying once she realized she'll be coming more often....

I dont know yet :(( Im going to do that soon, September 6th......Daughter is going to preschool. They do grow up quick...
