My reason for asking is becuase of what he asked me. i've noticed this as well especially abroad my travels to Indian.

i dated an Indian woman for about five months. They may appear to be more submissive, but some of the younger generation is starting to 'spread their wings' and adapt to american 'values'! she was extremely good to me and wanted to do for me, but it was more of her Christian servitude that brought this out than her Indian heritage. she was also very outspoken. so it really depends on how they were raised. cause the Indian culture still overall believes that women are less than men.

Of course Indian women in India would seem more submissive because they are the only women there to compare to. You go to any country and you will find some local women submissive. But I wouldn't say that they are over all more submissive. It would be nice if they were though because they are gorgeous. I don't know why Indian men are so blind to this lol

First of all, I love DMX Dragon 2. He rocks! And, truly I'm not just saying that because I'm an Indian woman.
As far as the submissiveness goes it's not all of us. This happens mostly in India where the culture shows women that this is their "role" and this is how they should act. But, again it's not all. I believe there are a lot of other cultures where this is also the case. From what I've seen it is more common in conservative cultures.

nope.. if not wrong, i was watching this documentary about woman in power (or watever the title was)
is not only the indians, even japan also~ n i was shocked to know that most women out there still stays at home after getting married, becoz is considered a virtue...
even women in japan are slowly given the chance to speak, but alot of companies still prefer men...

India was and is a patriarchal society.Indian women are brought up to defer to the male be it father/brother/husband and ultimately sons.

we indian ladies are taught to be like that and that makes us special. havent u heard about the praisings given by mahatma gandhi , vivekananda and many other great personalities on us

This is a part of their culture. It's traditional beliefs that are passed down to each generation that they are just now starting to lose.
