Hovercraft, which can move on any surface, land or water, it doesnt actually touch the surface directly, it moves on a jet of air which maintains the gap... for example you can remember the hovercraft used in matrix series... their 'ships' are hovercrafts.
Well, the army also uses amphibious vehicles, which have wheels like armoured vehicles, in addition they can turn on a rotor, once when in water, which makes it act like a mechanised boat.
