The line "I love the smell of napalm in the morning" is a line from the 1979 movie Apocalypse Now, directed by Francis Ford Coppola.

The line is delivered by the character Lieutenant Colonel Bill Kilgore, played by Robert Duvall, after ordering an airstrike on a line of trees to supress enemy activity during an attack by his soldiers on a Viet Cong held village.

Napalm itself is just gasoline that has had a thickening agent added to it so that it sticks to the target (e.g. trees, foliage, people) while it burns. The name comes from the original two chemicals used as a thickening agent, the coprecipitated aluminum salts of naphthenic and palmitic acids, although modern napalm does not use these chemicals.

Napalm is a vegitation clearing chemical agent that is highly toxic. It's used in war times (particularly Vietnam) b/c of the jungle vegitation to make finding the enemy easier. "Napalm in the morning" is a quote from a movie who's setting was in Vietnam...though I can't remember the movie title.
