She might also have mange. If you bathe her and then give her a flea and tick medicine this might solve the problem. If not, I would take her to a vet. Put the flea and tick medicine on first, wait a day and then give her a bath with a dog shampoo for sensitive skin.

There are a lot of things that cause dogs to itch. The bad odor could be because she needs a bath or due to a serious condition. You really need to get her to the vet to have the problem diagnosed. Don't try to do anything for her (bath, etc) before at least calling the vet and asking...you can make her more uncomfortable and make the condition worse.

Change your food. Look for one that has meat as the first ingredient. Avoid foods that have corn, wheat, and by-products.

I feed Natural Balance Venison & Brown Rice formula. My dog has a great coat & good skin.

For fleas I use Revolution. It is a once a month topical heartworm/flea control.

It's entirely possible that your dog is really a werechupacabra. This strange new combination of canine and chupacabra was first sited somewhere in Idaho, but the disease may be spreading. Werechupacabras are a dangerous terrifying breed best avoided. Does this help?
