Hmm, if the weight loss is slow and controlled by diet and exercise, you may be able to firm up the muscle...if the person is young I believe you have a better chance as the skin isn't cross-linked/damaged by the sun as much and is still growing. If the weight loss is rapid such as 40 lbs in a week or two... there will be loose skin. Best of luck.

There is really no way other than keeping yourself lotioned up well. Losing 30lbs shouldnt make you have flabby skin though.
