By all means, if he is going to do that then he is not worth staying with. Dump him. If your name is on the house then get a lawyer and take half.

I'd dump him--who can live with threats like that? How can he "make" you sell the house?

Yes, let him go and get your independence back. Sell the house, take the money and buy a place you love.

Yes - why would you want to be with someone who blackmails you into staying with threats, thats pathetic, plus i presume you would have to do this anyway if you share house. - I wouldnt want to stay living together as its obviously past amicable
