I did a 9-day body clease in June. It involved two days of only drinking the cleanse drink and eating apples and celery and cabbage; then five days of two shakes and a 500 calorie meal for dinner; then two more cleanse days. I lost about 10 pounds during the cleanse, and then I lost an additional six pounds after that from just watching my diet and not eating carbs and sugars. I also gave up diet Coke and started drinking water and green tea.

I am continuing to maintain my initial weightloss, and I am working on losing more. I will probably do another cleanse after the holidays.

The cleanse my husband and I did was by Isagenix -- we bought it from our choripractor's office. It wasn't cheap -- but it worked!

I feel a lot better!

Good luck!

If, by body cleanse, you are referring to an enema then the answer is a certain "no". Enemas clean out the lower colon of any fecal matter and can certainly reduce the feeling of bloatedness that some people may feel. Unfortunately, lower colon cleansing (enemas), if done too frequently, can result in physiologic dependence; in other words, your body comes to rely on regular enemas for bowel movements.
If you are trying to lose weight, eat fewer calories than you burn and get some exercise.

apparently detoxing does help weight loss, because you get rid of substances in the body, and it helps burn fat faster. Sorry i can't be more specific, I'm also researching the same thing.

Try green tea, and keep a day or two where you just drink liquids and eat fruit. Stick to vegetables and salads, and lean protein - avoid fatty foods, chocolates, etc and make sure you exercise for an hour at least 4 times a week and you will notice a difference.

THey are all B.S. You will lose weight - but it's all water weight. It'll come right back on as soon as you eat again. DeTox and colon cleanses are both not F.D.A. approved and all of the people that say they are good are paid testimonials. Don't waste your money - you can have the same effect for free by flushing your body out with 64 oz of pure water, Sure the one b4 me lost weight - she cut her calories to just 1000/day. Most people aren't that disciplined.

Yes it can help but you'll have to eat healthy too and drink alot of water. Try finding a cleanse that flushes your intenstines. It sounds gross but that would probably help.
