A very wise participant, who I haven't seen for a while, said the religion that speaks the loudest is scared their religion will become obsolete.
People who are true believers don't need to worry or attack as they are secure within their beliefs.

Yeah, I've wondered about that too. Although no Christian has ever succeeded in 'setting me straight' about anything.

I think it's because while Christians who attack atheists have faith, they're bothered by the fact that we atheists seem to get along fine without it. If Christianity were true, it would undoubtedly be in everyone's interest to believe in it. Unfortunately for me, I refuse to believe in anything without having proof. I think some Christians find that really annoying, because in two thousand years, nobody has ever provided a totally watertight logical proof for the existence of God (or for that matter, the resurrection of Jesus). This lack of proof bugs them on some level and they take it out on people like me by calling me stupid, a sinner etc.

That's what people assume. the devil cleverly manipulative disguises and distorts the truth. Now let me just say that, I'm a Born-Again-Christian, and I don't fear atheists. In fact, In all honesty there is no such thing as an atheist, if and when they are ever in a near death experience, who do they cry to help from?........God! I've seen the hardest of men, Non-Christians, weep for God to help them. Believe me, it's just cowardice when people say they don't believe in God. They worship material things, but don't realise they are searching for God.
.
I don't know how you stand spiritually, I can only advise you to sincerely ask Jesus Christ into your life and everything you want to know about God will eventually be revealed to you as you grow in the Christian Faith. Read the Gospels and preferably some of Pauls letters especially the letter to the Ephesians. Satan will appear as an angel of light to confuse you, thinking that he will destroy your relationship with God, don't be taken in by this.

If you want proof, then the first thing to do is read the Gospels very carefully and read Christian Literature, i.e. Life-How did it get here. But to be honest , all your answers are in the Bible. If you want a quote from the Bible, John 3 v16, Isaiah 43 V 1-3. The Sermon on the Mount, Mathew chapters 5 - 8.
Turning your life over to Christ will take courage, as an ex-soldier, I can truly identify with this. let's put it this way, if there was no God, I wouldn't be here today answering your Question, I wouldn't be alive, and that's the truth. Please identify the difference between satans manipulation, and the Truth in God. I could give you many scriptual references to your question, but the real step is finding Christ and asking him into your life. There will be no doubt about it, if you're sincere, the Holy Spirit will reveal everything to you. He loves you and wants to save you from hell and an eternity without God. You will never fear what so-called atheists say, you'll laugh it of, but you would be better to pray for their Salvation.

If it's guidance you need then contact you're nearest TRUE Christian Church or Christians who will explain anything you need to know.

Christians are not worried about atheists questioning, but worried about them as they are fellow human beings like chirstians and from that point of view, they feel sorry for them. Atheists tend to question anything and everything and that is not good for faith. FAith requires your full attention and submission to it.

The Christain faith does not need to be questioned, even if that happens it will fade away but the faith will remain because it comes from the Heavenly Father.

An Atheist and a Bear

An atheist was taking a walk through the woods, admiring all that evolution had created.

"What majestic trees! What powerful rivers! What beautiful animals!", he said to himself. As he was walking along the river, he heard a rustling in the bushes behind him. When he turned to see what the cause was, he saw a 7-foot grizzly charging right towards him. He ran as fast as he could. He looked over his shoulder and saw that the bear was closing, He ran even faster, crying in fear. He looked over his shoulder again, and the bear was even closer. His heart was pounding and he tried to run even faster. He tripped and fell on the ground. He rolled over to pick himself up, but saw the bear right on top of him, reaching for him with his left paw and raising his right paw to strike him.

At that moment, the Atheist cried out "Oh my God!...." Time stopped. The bear froze. The forest was silent. Even the river stopped moving.

As a bright light shone upon the man, a voice came out of the sky, "You deny my existence for all of these years; teach others I don't exist; and even credit creation to a cosmic accident. Do you expect me to help you out of this predicament? Am I to count you as a believer?"

The atheist looked directly into the light "It would be hypocritical of me to suddenly ask You to treat me as Christian now, but perhaps could you make the bear a Christian?" "Very well," said the voice.

The light went out. The river ran again. And the sounds of the forest resumed.

And then the bear dropped his right paw ..... brought both paws together...bowed his head and spoke: "Lord, for this food which I am about to receive, I am truly thankful."

BTW, I do not want to imply that atheists deserve to be eaten by bears. I read it in a Christian newsletter. Jokes can be a defense mechanism, and some people feel that those who question what they hold sacred are automatically judging them and also if they are extremely religious, they may feel sad for atheists because they believe they are in torment.

I dont neccisarly worry about what athiests ask. Just as they probably dont what I as a christian ask. Its a matter of trying to help someone else understand. I try not to attack anyones quistions of any faith. It just depends on how rude and unthoughtful the quistion was to begin with. And Im not insecure in my faith in any way shape or form.

Rofl. That's a riot.

No real Christian is insecure about answering questions, rebuting comments, and parrying attacks.

In fact, we say, "bring it on".

No real Christian worries about what you have to say, since we *expect* you to do so.

"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine." - 2 Timothy 4:2

The only questions I won't answer are the nonsensical ones (unless I honestly believe the asker to be sincere in his question), and the ones that'd take me far too long to explain (now... I'm longwinded, regrettably... and my *big* explanations take several days to write... and I'm sure no one really wants to read anything that thorough unless they actually want to learn something).

Now, what I wonder... why are atheists so insecure in their non-beliefs, that they only question Christianity, and not Judaism, Islam, Wicca, Buddhism, Paganism, Satanism, and Hinduism? I mean, if your reasoning is that we evangelize, then surely we *can't* be the only ones who want others to share in our joy. If that were so, then no other religion would exist... yet they do, and do perform missionary work... but no one questions them...

For me, “God” is the term that encompasses each little thing which people have yet or can not comprehend. “God” in basic terms can not be defined, because of the fact of this we've the term; to symbolize what we don't comprehend or comprehend…. i think of it somewhat is a mistake to have self belief in any faith which claims itself to be the ‘actual faith,’ incredibly if a reward/punishment gadget is in touch. additionally, i detect it very stressful that countless people equate faith with morality. If historic previous has shown us one element, it somewhat is that that it somewhat is obviously no longer the case. very lots of human misery has been brought about by skill of prepared faith, consistent with danger if it have been a greater own element the international may well be an stronger place.
