Are people supposed to be afraid of God? Is God a Punisher and a Lover? Does it mean that you will be punished with Love because God is so full of it?

It seems that this god creature is so vain and vindictive that if you do not stroke it's ego by worshiping it in a highly proscribed manner, it sends you to an eternity of suffering in the fires of Hell. This sounds like a highly disturbed creature that is hardly worthy of respect, let alone worship.

The wrath of God is the due, fair, and correct punishment for sin.

Christian's are to fear God. That is different from being afraid. We are to honor God. He is Holy. He isn't our buddy that we can high-five.

He is pure, holy and awesome. We are to worship him.

If people fall down as dead at the feet of angles when they appear in the Bible...how much more will we tremble when we appear in front of God?

Christians should have no fear of the wrath of God though. Christ took all the punishment for us at the cross. Christ took all my wrath and there is NONE left for me...Thank God!

Now, non-Christians are different. They will drink the cup of wrath they are filling up on their own. They will drink the cup of wrath they have made with their own sins. Since they do not want to turn to Christ, they will not turn their sins over to Jesus, they will have to face God's wrath. It will be fair. People will have differing amounts of God's wrath because people have different sins.

God is fair and just to non-Christians. The people that "get away" with their sins and get love instead are those that love Christ. Now that really doesn't sound fair.... that I can exchange my sinfulness for love and eternity...but that was God's choice. .. That he would allow a path to heaven... I'm thankful he has provided a way.

God is not a punisher I dont believe in the "wrath of god" I am a Christian I believe God loves us, It's like if you tell your child dont put your finger in the electrical outlet but they do anyway and get shocked! Did you shock them? Or was it a concequence of not following directions? God doesnt do it, many times we do it to ourselves then blame God. He allows some things to happen so we can learn and grow. Remember just like there is a God in heaven there is a devil in hell! God Bless

The wrath of God is God's action during judgment day. For those who loved Him and obeyed him, He will provide to them everlasting life with so much joy and peace and unspeakable things; for those who hated Him and disobeyed Him, His wrath will be shown against them which will result at the end in throwing them to the lake of fire and brimstone.

On judgment day we will all hear God say either "enter into the joy of the Lord" or "depart from me, I never knew you".

You will know the wrath of God if you hear Him say, "depart from me, I never knew you".

it is written. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" wrath of God means, you will be full of terror, when you go to sleep and when you wake up.

To know Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour is to know God the father, God's love was manifested in His Son Jesus Christ, so if He did not spare His Son, how do you think He will spare you if you do not acknowledge that Christ is Lord indeed?
