I got my long hair cut last week, it was not as dramatic as I thought it would be. The best thing to do is to know what you want, preferably about a week before getting it cut, then you can make sure you love the cut you're getting. Find a famous person who has a cut you like or ask a friend or family member. Something else that may help depending on how long your hair is, is donating it to locks of love when it's cut. Giving your hair to someone who needs it more can make you feel better about losing the length. I hope my advice has helped!

I had hair down to my hiney in high school...cut off over a foot and donated it to "locks of love". It was very dramatic!!! For me anyway (Traumatic...not really...but it was a shock). I never realized how heavy hair can be when it's long. It took me about a week to get used to the change. It just felt...weird!! :) My hair is just as long now as it was then...but I'm not cutting it this time. I love my long hair!! Lord Bless...

The last time I cut a lot off of my hair I was 17 or 18. My hair was midway down my back and I cut it to just below my ears, so that was a good 8 inches or more. It's always kinda weird when you go so drastic so quickly, but I've never regretted it any time I've cut that much off my hair.

Feel? Well I donated 22" of my hair to "Locks of love" for wigs for cancer children and it was incredible feeling on many levels. I went from hair at my butt to hair at my neckline!

Oh my neck pain when a way, no more headaches.
Everyone asked if I lost weight and I looked younger. Go figure.

My husband hated it. OH WELL.... so I bought a wig to wear for fun. I'm keeping it short! Since then, I cut off another 4" inches and its a "pixie cut" and very wash and go.

There is a very temporary sense of loss and girls get emotional. But once you see the new you and don't have the weight of long hair to deal with every day, you'll be glad it's gone. Hair always grows back.

I was so happy! I wanted it gone for a while but never got around to it. I finally cut it after I graduated and then I wished I did it months ago!!

9 inches gone!!!!
