Unfortunately we can only control how we will react to any given situation. I have recently heard of a man who was Muslim and converted to Christianity and then realized his brother was a Christian and then his sister became a Christian. Their parents were angry and disappointed.
You can never make everyone happy and that really isn't your purpose in life. Your purpose is to love God more than anything or anyone else and to use the gifts God has given you to affect change in others' lives through blessing them with kindness where they may find none any where else.
In my experience God has everything under control and we humans want Him to hurry up and make our lives easy quickly. However, it is the process of going through the hard times that makes us more respectful and sympathetic to others' struggles so that we can understand how to share what Jesus has done in our lives better.
God knows and loves your parents and I am positive that He is speaking to their hearts and minds on His behalf and therefore yours. Do not fear anything as God is able to move mountains. Anytime you fear, pray for what you are afraid of. It is that honest communication with your loving and perfect Father that will strengthen your relationship and trust in Him.
I am a Christian and had "Christian" parents. My father was very angry with me whenever I spoke at churches about the details of my life because he was embarassed. He said I read my Bible too much and I was a fanatic. I just kept praying for him and now he goes to church more than I do.
I prayed that my children would become believers in Jesus and have a strong faith in Him for 15 years and they are both Christians -- became Christians at 6 and 4 years old. Yes if you do the math you'll see that I prayed for them before I was married or even had children.
No prayer goes unanswered. You just get a, "no, yes, or wait" -- be patient and watch the miracles God will do in your life and others just because He loves you so much and wants all people to know Him as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
I'll pray for you each time God brings you to my mind!! If you can, read the Bible as much as possible starting in John. You are perfectly and wonderfully made to fulfill exactly what God has planned for you -- just don't get in a rush trying to figure-out what that is. At this point, it is getting to know him.
If you are in a Muslim country that censors Christianity, come here and pray that the Lord show you what is true and what is false.
I love you and welcome to the family!!!! Happy Birthday!!!

I was a Christian and I changed to Islam because Christianity in its current books is not logical at all, whereas Islam provided me with peace and good life and way to heaven.
As a religious researcher I conclude that you know nothing about Islam. If you read Holy Quran and study it well and understand it well, you will find a lot of facts about Jesus Christ, and these facts are logical, but it's the first time I see a Muslim changing his religion, seems you know nothing about Islam son.
Muslims don't change their religion because Islam protects them and Islam provides them with peace and good life.
Don't change son, know Islam well and you'll never leave it.
Every person living on Earth must know Islam well so that all people find the truth about Islam that is faked in the US and western Media.
Wake up people
Wake up
GOD bless you son

Why not start by joining a virtual Christian church on the Internet, at least to start with? www.ichurch.org/cms is a church on line run by the Anglican church. You can join it, listen or read sermons and chat to people. Then as you learn more you can decide what to do next. Many Muslims do become Christians and it can be difficult but as you learn more about Christianity you will be feel more able to tell your family.

You got a problem. But you have the telephone and you know where the research info is. Call a church of your choice and talk with an adult leader. Depending on your age there may be several ways you can experience Christianity without fear.
P.S: Are you an American citizen? most important.
I will add you 'special' in my daily prayers. 66M California.

You must ask Jesus into your heart and believe that he is the Son of God and he died to take away your sins. Going to a Church doesn't make you a Christian you can find guidance and fellowship at a Church. But a personal relationship with Jesus is the start of becoming a Christian.

if you feel a need to convert to being a christian...Then, your family needs to support you....if you have found a church that you love & enjoy, speak with your pastor for help.
You have to do what your heart is telling you to do.
Your family needs to understand that you will still be serving the same God....just calling him by a different name. Because God & Allah are the same entity. & Jesus is his Son.
Converting is a major thing (for any religion) But you are making the right decission, what ever your heart is telling you...That is where God (Allah) wants you to go.

I read the Koran once in a bookstore and noticed that Jesus' name was mentioned a lot - so, with that said, your personal transition/conversion shouldn't be too hard. There are Christians who live in the "Arab world", as you probably know. As for trying to convince your parents, you could either practice Christianity without them knowing or you could discuss your intentions if your parents are open-minded (as my Christian parents were when I told them I was no longer going to be a practising Christian). Good luck with whatever path you may take!

Read this:
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Daniel%203:13-29;&version=31;
God will not let anything you can't handle come your way if you believe. Your family will not like it, and they may kick you out. I've seen it happen. But ive also seen those same people that got kicked out prosper in life. Think of it like this: even if you die with Jesus Christ in your heart its still not a bad thing. So nothing in this world can harm you. Any christian who's afraid of death is not a true believer.

I don't see why studying the life and teachings of Jesus should violate the tenets of your faith. Perhaps if you told them that you wanted to meet and understand Christians, they would be more accepting of you attending christian services. Given the current political climate, and depending on which Muslim country you are in, this might be very dangerous, not only to you, but to all the others that attend your church. Please be careful...

Explain calmly to your family that your beliefs are different from theires. You have your own right to choose what you believe. If you believe in Christianity, then do so.
Here's what you really ought to do, pray and ask God to show you the Way.
