Nail varnish remover gets it off if it's dried. But wear gloves, it can be pretty nasty to your skin too.

Emulsion isn't a thing that drops on carpet, it's a chemical process. An emulsion is an oily or resinous liquid suspended in another liquid. These responders have given you advice for removing something from your carpet when they have no idea what you're trying to remove.
Is it wine? Food? Grease? I wouldn't recommend scrubbing the stain or using nail polish remover (acetone) unless you want your carpet permanently ruined. If the stain is grease water will not help, will it? What spilled ????????

mop up as much excess as poss. using damp cloth towards center of stain. always rub from outside in or it will make stain bigger. emulsion is water based so warm water with tiny amount of detergent, and try to mop moisture after each application of water. good luck.

use as little water as possible. If you use too much the carpet will stretch. get up as much as you can with a scraper without spreading it whileit is still wet.

If it's still wet, some water and a damp cloth, if it's dry then you could buy a yub of Elbow Grease, but it's hard work.
