My kitchen sink has this fake pull-out drawer looking thing on it - it's a double-sink and under each of them is a small pull-out drawer teaser. Our nieghbors has theirs so it'll flip down and they can store the kitchen sponge and SOS pads and such in it - it declutters the area very nicely. Any idea if it's easy to do or how to even go about doing it?

I've seen and installed these on occassion. First of all I suggest looking at the hardware on the cabinet face in your neighbors kitchen.

It should be very much like the hardware used on desk type office furniture where a door folds down rather than pulls out/pushes in. Certainly large home stores sell such hardware. I've even used it in crafting chests that have a draw up lid.

Inside that faux drawer face, you can add or perhaps purchase the plastic tray type fixtures, for minimal storage. The issue is how are your faux drawer faces attached? Will removal cause damage, cosmetic or structural?

I suggest, look first, perhaps even get the name of the cabinets the neighbor has, connect with manufacturers if possible, and the kitchen dept. at an HD or Lowes.

More hassle than it's worth. There just isn't enough room there to make it worth your time. Go do something you enjoy and make the best of your hours on this earth!

First you have to measure to see if you have enough clearance to have a drawer like that.

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and they will show you what you need. They are very helpful.

Any home depot store can sell you a kit for that.
