Why can't the government take children from homes of racists as a form of stopping abuse and manipulation in children. Good Morning America showed twin 14 year old girls that believe the Hitler was simply trying to conserve his "heritage".

As an Irish Mexican women, I believe that this is a form of child abuse.

I'm glad I missed that show, I would be pissed off, and you are right, it is a form of abuse-brainwashing. Conserving heritage? Do their parents really believe that? He slaughtered folks! Human beings! He was not God, he was the devil in the flesh, wicked, wicked, wicked.

Honestly, I don't agree with the ways some people raise their kids, but I also think this is a free country and people need to butt out of the way everyone raises their kids.

Just like the government is trying to tell us how to feed our kids because so many people are bad parents and let their kids eat and drink what ever they want and cause some fat kid epidemic. This is a free country, and if we keep taking away rights from parents kids will just get worse. Kids are going to have more rights and parents are going to have no say. The government is well on it's way to telling us what we can feed our children, what we can teach our children, how we can punish our children, how we can dress our children, everything. People need to butt out of every one elses life. I think the only thing about parenting that should be controlled is the child abuse. And NO, not swatting a kids behind for punching his sister, I'm talking about beating a child because they spilled the milk at dinner.

I agree with you fully!!! I saw the same show and was disgusted at these girls beliefs. As far removing from their homes however, I believe that would be taking their families constitutional right to believe the way they choose to believe away. I think it's one of those cases where if we don't like their message than we just don't listen to them.

I agree that it is horrible to raise children with those beliefs because it almost guarantees that they will grow up to be bigots. But I don't really think you want the government to intervene here ... it's still freedom of belief, of religion, and of speech. It's sad and sick, but it's still their stupid choice to make. Once the kids are older, it will be up to them to take an objective look at the world and judge for themselves. Maybe something will make them change.

I feel the same about racist, sexist, bigoted people who teach their children that other races, or other religions, or homosexuals are evil, or messed up, or are somehow morally deficient. Racism and hatred just don't belong in church, in parenting, in our schools, or in our lives - - period. I agree totally.
