Is there something I can do, to discourage them?

I walk to work each morrning. I work at Dennys. Across the street is a bar. Every time I pass it men whistle at me and holler valugur things. I am wearing my unifor at thease times. Any of you who have eaten at dennys know the uniforms are very tasteful and modest. I don't think I am fantastic looking or anything i just try to look my best but what woman does not? I'm am totaly modest so I know it is not the way I dress causeing me this attention. Is there something I could do to make them stop? I find it very disturbing, some of the things they say. How could I get them to stop doing thease things?

Haha! I feel ya. It's like "Come on, guys, has that EVER worked for you? Has even one woman ever walked up to you and said 'God, all your cat calls turn me on so much, I just have to have you now!'?" I mean, what are they thinking?
That being said, I have never heard of a method that works. I think calling the police is pretty much the only solution. Or finding a new route to work.

don't feel bad about it either. it's hard enough being comfortable in your own skin without some drunk old farts making you feel uncomfortable in your work uniform, EVERYDAY.

If they don't stop, go to the owner of the bar. And if that doesn't help, contact the police. That's sexual harrassment when it comes down to it.
