When you get a splinter shouldn't it be like a blessing to remind you of what Jesus went through?

No.

Jesus almost certainly died while impaled on a simple stake, rather than a cross of two intersecting beams. Of course the Romans had the ability to create such devices, and probably did. But ask yourself: why they would have bothered when a simple stake would have worked just as well or better?

It is also enlightening to examine other relevant Scriptures.

You may be interested to see how your own copy of the bible translates Acts 5:30, Galatians 3:13, Deuteronomy 21:22, 23, and Acts 10:39. The King James, Revised Standard, Dyaglott, and Jerusalem Bible translate the instrument of Christ's death simply as "stake" or "tree" because the original wording simply does not support the idea that this was more than a piece of upright wood.

It is also eye-opening to examine how the first-century Christians felt about idols of any kind, much less one that glorified an instrument of death.

Sure - a blessing considering how much more terrible the suffering Christ went through was. Just remember that Christ is Holy, not the splinters themselves.
Peace

You could make the case for this. I mean, priests can't get married because Christ was allegedly celibate. Women can't be priests because Christ was a man. A crucifix is a holy symbol even though, really, it is the method of capital punishment used by ancient Romans. (You realize if they'd had lethal injection back then you'd all be wearing little jewel-encrusted gold hypodermic needles, right?) So, why not the splinters?

wow you ponder about quite possibly the dumbest stuff i have ever heard of...lol...if we thought it was a blessing to get a splinter we might as well think it is a blessing to hammer a nail into the wall in order to hang something up, because that is what jesus went through...

I guess splinters could be a reminder of what Christ suffered on the cross but I personally think they're pesky and should be removed! Besides, we should remember His suffering anyway.

HONESTLY I THINK THE ONLY RESPONSE YOU SHOULD GET IS A BIG FAT SHUT UP BECAUSE , YOU MUST HAVE NO RESPECT FOR OTHERS BELIEFS TO ASK A QUESTIONS LIKE THIS. YOUR QUESTION IS FOR SHOCK VALUE AND AND NOTHING MORE . MAYBE YOU SHOULD BE PINNED TO A CROSS AND SUFFER LIKE CHRIST AND THEN COME BACK AND ASK HOW TO GET THE SPLITTERS OUT OF YOUR YOU KNOW WHAT BUT, SOMEONE LIKE YOU WOULDN'T HAVE THE COURAGE TO DO SOMETHING LIKE CHRIST DID FOR US . GOD BLESS YOU

I don't think so because Isa (Jesus) probably didn't enjoy the splinters.

you obviously doesn't respect other people's religion! --- you must be stupid to think of that analogy.. because Christian doesn't think that way.

well, if you believe that splinters are holy, then put about a hundred of it in you as* every day of your life.

Can I slap you upside the head? How can you compare God choosing to suffer for you and an annoyance??
