Please don't change your cat's name now if you don't want her to develop a complex about herself. She has had her name for four years and if you change it she could think you are rejecting her. Harvey might be an unusual name for female cat but I suspect that she is an exceptional cat, so keep her name as it is, please - you don'.t want to confuse her.

cant really change it but can posh it up like pedigrees maybe harvilin/da harvigirl harvianne harvibella harvillia then you keep the harvey for short
or just spel it harvie harvi it seems to be a trend to name girls with boys names
[Many girls' names are feminized versions of boys’ names: Carol, Caroline, and Charlotte (not to mention Carla, Charla, and Charlene) all derive from Charles, for instance. When celebrities try their hand at feminizing traditionally male names, the results can be pretty interesting.

Oh funny that as the same thing happened to us. We had been calling our Kitten Samantha, only to be told a good 6 months later that she was a he, so we had him doctored and shortened his name to Sam.
My husband is funny because every time Sam is being temperamental like cats can be my husband starts singing that song 'Just like a Woman',. but then remembers that Sam is a he. But I think even after 15 years he still thinks Sam is a girl.
Why not still call her Harvey, she will be used to that name and will still come running when you call her name. But if you change her name now she may get confused... No Harvey it must stay.

I am a cat owner too, so why not just keep calling her "Harvey", after all, she's a cat, and she won't come when called by name anyway :-)
Seriously though: Any name you like would do just fine. How about Miss Take? (As in Mistake?)
Fluffy, Big Girl, Cuddles

how about one of the female contestants from fit club? Vanessa, Amy, Big Fat Anne? I think you should keep Harvey, its cute for a girl too. Imagine how messed up in the head that poor wee cat must be! =) Through no fault of your own of course

Just keep on calling the cat Harvey, if you call it something else, it will get confused and not answer to anything. Just keep on calling it Harvey and you will be fine =)

It took 4 years to find out? There is a big difference. I would leave the name alone or you will just confuse the cat.

I think you should name her Harley, because the cat is already used to hearing the name Harvey and you don't want to confuse her; plus I have heard of females named Harley.
