The single most important observation is that the objective of communication is not the transimission but the reception. The whole preparation, presentation and content of a speech must therefore be geared not to the speaker but to the audience. The presentation of a perfect project plan is a failure if the audience do not understand or are not persuaded of its merits. A customers' tour is a waste of time if they leave without realising the full worth of your product. The objective of communication is to make your message understood and remembered.
The main problem with this objective is, of course, the people to whom you are talking. The average human being has a very short attention span and a million other things to think about. Your job in the presentation is to reach through this mental fog and to hold the attention long enough to make your point..
As u are confindent,its good and about your problem of stammering,you can overcome that by practicing in front of mirror.. Practice makes man perfect.. So i'll suggest you to practice giving speeches... am sure u will overcome it.. All the best...

that means ur confident about yourself but not of what ur speaking . the best way is to talk within ur friends and family members , but among them also some may appreciate and some may discourage u , but u still continue with ur work and dont think of others . if u want to improve ur vocabulary and fluency then read the editorials from the hindu or any other paper and watch bbc news daily as a home work , definitely u will be benifited by that

Same thing happens to me.... Not a big fan of being the center of attention. However, I notice it more when I'm talking about subjects I don't feel comfortable or confident in my knowledge or when I'm worried about how the person I'm talking to will receive it.

Best thing I've been able to do is take a breath, find my center, and proceed from a more balanced/centered place inside.

I think that, if u remove hazitation from yourself, and u have concious about that u can speak to anywhere and to any anyone with this thinking that everyone is fool, and i know better then the others and ignore any person laughing--- so u can improve your communication skill.
And i want to tell u that
->No pain no gain.
bye.

I don't know if this will help but I attend a Business Computer & Administration class at the technology center and my instructor told us that when we do any public speaking we need to take our time, slow down & breathe. She says this will help when we get nervous so that we don't sound unprofessional by making mistakes when we talk

If confidence is not your problem then the stammering could be coz of some physical reasons.

I suggest you visit a doctor and explain ur problem to him....

By ignoring your handicap ,even if you feel you have one.
Remember we all have some form of abberation, for some they are noticable for others they are not so prominent at first glance. Spend some time with them and they shall surface.
