Option for getting out......?

Question

Would it be wrong to say this would be another alternative for getting out of Iraq. We are there fighting terrorist right? No, all we are fighting there are a bunch of "freedom fighters" who are protecting their land from the the big bully who invaded for no reason. So, we get out, were not putting our selves at risks, their not going to bring it to our home any more than what their tring already. So we give the country back to the people, let them figure out a way to live peacefully, and warn them, if you F**K up and mess with us, we are going to come back and were not going to be as nice. Leave a bunch of troops in Kuwaite as a Quick Reaction Force to Iraq and say Peace. Whats more important, our image to a bunch of towel heads or our brothers who are getting killed daily? If we keep going at the pace were going now, were going to lose a whole lot more people and the Iraqis are going to grow acustom to use taking care of their land. They already have. They look at it as a joke.

Who's to say our way is the right way. It may work for us, you really beleive its going to work for a country that hasnt lived that way for 3000 years. Were just going to change ther way they live, easy i guess. No one is going to stop the oil. Thats the only thing they have going. You really think anyone wants a country like Iraq if it wasnt for the oil. Who cares if another country takes over. Their obviously not going to take care of themselves. They dont know how to. Thats not in their way of life. They are used to dictatorship and nothing else. They dont know how to live on their own. I dont understand why people cant get that, of course, i guess no one will untill they see it first hand. I did and I dont think were doing anything positive. What are we going to do, spend 30 years there just shooting at people who shoot at us? One goes down, two pop back up. Its not going to end. I hope all you people understand, we dont leave now, were never going to leave. Thanks Everyone.

Jesi...you little uneducated child. Another 9-11 is going to happen regardless if were in Iraq or not, INFACT Im not sure if you have been watching the news but it almost DID happen. Get out of your little dream world sweetheart. Your husband is on some island water skiing for 20 days while real military soldiers are over there fighting for a year at a time because people like you say we should be. Why? What are we accomplishing? We built a couple schools. GREAT! Almost 4 years and that’s what we have to show for. Almost a trillion dollars and almost 3000 lives for a couple school. Get with it. Who cares if another country takes over. Better than us. Maybe another country will do it right. Any they would probally want a coutry with the same beleife system to come in, at least half of them would. Put on a uniform-a real one- and then come to the table. I was there for a year, for what? OUR Freedom? Bull.

After reading some if not all the answers to this question has any body considered so what if the middle east gets it together under Islamic rule instead of democracy, that to me is just like Russia, Korea and China being a threat, one more so what.

Time to bring them home; as reported by the military that all the money that was ear marked for future betterment of Americas military in thirty years is being used up for bullets and soldiers instead of a modern up to date military in thirty years.

I agree we should bring them home and get our heads out of where the sun doesn't shine!

That is all part of war. When you signed up and raised your right hand, you knew that there might be a possibility of war. While you may think the reasons you are there is bogus, the fact is that you still belong to Uncle Sam. What makes you so special that you should get to come home and the tens of thousands of other true fighting soldiers should stay. Why don't you volunteer to be some of those soldiers left behind in Kuwait? You know, When i fought in Desert Storm we had to sit on the euphrates river after the cease fire and wait for the word to go in and get Saddam. The U.N. decided it wasn't what we were there for, we were there to liberate Kuwait. But when we came home the American people in general were pissed off that we didn't go after Saddam. Now that we are back over there and trying to smooth the chaos after capturing Saddam, the american people are still pissed off. The fact is that you can't please everyone and part of war is taking care of the mess after the actual war is over. I think if we pull out now, The insurgeons will take over, stop oil export to us and our fuel prices will sky rocket way off the charts. Just for your info, I tried to re-up and go back to Iraq for this war but the recruiter said that i was too old. I wish I could pitch in and help you guy's out but all i can do is give you my full support. I am proud of every american fighting soldier and would just like for them to know that what they are doing is not in vein.

your an idiot, if we left now it would be a HUGE disaster! don't you get it? these people hated us before we got there! they WANT TO KILL US just because we are Americans, they WILL come over the US and try even harder, there will be another saddam or worse and they will go after us, if we left now we would step back 10 years and have to start all over again, open your eyes, these people are CRAZY! there not like us, i think we're going to have to have another 9/11 for you people to understand this, you CAN'T reason with them!
