There isn't.
I only got virus's when I was running NAV.
It is a conspiracy for money.
I have now removed NAV.
No problems now.
AVG Rulez !

THERE DEFINATELY IS A LINK WITH HAVING NAV ON YOUR PC AND GETTING A VIRUS. NAV ARE TRYING TO MAKE YOU THINK THIER SOFTWARE HELPS - IT DOES NOT ! SCAM !

I have the same belief that all the other people who have answered your question do Norton is rubbish I was using Kapersky anti-virus which was great until the licence expired now I currently run Avast home edition which is also free like AVG and just as good.

That's a very good point. I had the same problem as well. The funny thing is that you can get AVG for free which is much better then the licenced version of Norton! I think Symantic have been so used to the Brand of Norton that they expect Norton to sell itself but as better software is being released (AVG in particular). I think Symantic may have a few problems. We shall have too see.

Having more desirable than one antivirus software can lavatory your equipment all the way down to the point of mind-blowing. it really is by no skill a sturdy theory. Why? because antivirus software snoops round in tender equipment factors searching for issues that are not meant to be there. If 2 separate courses are doing that they could (and oftentimes do) see the different as a danger, something that couldn't meant to be there. They honestly finally end up in a lack of life war that ties up further and extra equipment factors till you've were given no longer something left to apply. once you're going to target a clean AV software, you ought to uninstall the single you've already were given put in. Disabling it oftentimes isn't adequate. i'm no longer speaking about anti-undercover agent ware or anti-spyware, like Spybot S&D or advert-conscious. those you may load up on without authentic issues. yet anti-virus software won't be able to be dealt with like that. it really is like putting 2 unusual cats in a sack.

Norton is rubbish...so is McAfee. They are just bloated, power hungry resources that dripple your system & can't detect / remove many of the viri out there.

Get something decent!! Zonelabs do an excellent anti virus, so does AVG..and of course there is Sophos if you have enough money!!

Norton is crap...use AVG...it's free and works great! Or use Trend Micro PC-Cillin...I use that and it works excellent!
