For most people it does not work. U are better to see a psychiatric MD and get a good antidepressant prescription.

You can get St. John's Wort at GNC or Vitamin World (sometimes in the vitamin and herbal remedy sections of supermarkets) and I know some people who say it helps but it's not a miracle supplement. If you're suffering from depression you should see a doctor or psychiatrist and talk about using St. John's Wort instead of depression meds. You also have to be careful with drug interaction -- not 100% sure, but I think the FDA has said you shouldn't take motrin if you're taking St. John's Wort.

You can buy St. John's Wort at any pharmacy or Walmart. Most people that I know that have taken it say that it doesn't work.

You can purchase it at any Health Food Store or even Wal Mart. My mother took it for a little while and it did seem to perk her up. However I think it really depends on the degree of depression and your body chemistry. You also have to be careful of too much sun exposure if you are taking this herb as it could cause some interactions. There are other formulas available that combine different nutrients to help support healthy moods. Nutri-Zac by Nature's Plus is one of them.

It is over-the-counter in the US. You can buy it in health food stores or the "tea" section in a grocery store.
There is some scientific evidence that St. John's wort is useful for treating mild to moderate depression. However, two large studies showed that the herb was no more effective than placebo in treating major depression of moderate severity.
The NIH link below gives more information.

You can purchase St.Johns Wort at health food stores, drug stores, and many grocery stores now. While the FDA's tests have been inconclusive, countless studies in Europe suggest that it does have some efficacy in mild depression. Moderate to severe depression might need something stronger.

You can buy it nowadays in pharmacies or vitamin shops. I found it to work in the short term, but if you have a serious long lasting depression you should at least combine that with seeing a therapist.

you can buy it at any drug store, and most grocery stores, yes i took it for a while years ago, and it really worked for me..but like most natural herbs I'm sure it has side effects, and it is best to ask a doctors opinion before using it. some people swear by it, some people are totally against it. Some people spoke of withdraw symptoms from it...do you research before you buy any.

You can buy it at any drug or department store but BEWARE!
I took it just as a supplement years ago without my doctors awareness; since then I've had a lot of complications because it counter-acted with prescribed medications I had been given. Do yourself a favor and talk to your primary care physician before taking it.

You can buy it in the vitamin section of your local pharmacy. I didn't find that it worked all that well. If you are feeling depressed, and it won't go away, you need to see a physician or a therapist. They will advise you.

I'm VERY allergic to this stuff. Just because it's "natural" doesn't mean it's safe. If you try it, watch out for a telltale rash that looks like a burn.
I bought it at a local health foods store in capsule form.
