I think they are absolutely right. I've read Quran and it does talk about Jesus in those terms. He was a prophet, a spectacular human being but certainly not divine, not the "son of God".

First of all The Davinci Code was factional material and Dan Brown even says it at the beginning of his book. The book The Da Vinci Code is based on an earlier book called The Blood Line which Dan Brown used to investigate and like i said he never says that the book is based on truth. For example Dan Brown says that during the council of nicene there was an overwhelming vote among the religious leaders that Jesus was a mere man, but that is not true. The vote was to decide if Jesus was created or he had always been. Needless to say they voted overwhelming for Jesus being the Son of God. Dan Brown messed with the facts plain and simple. He says it in his book that its not based on facts, but is a fictional book. Of course Islam would try and say that Jesus was a prophet of Allah, but why do you suppose that the bible and the Koran differ so much on who God is??? Jews call there God Abba not Allah and Jesus never recognized Allah. I find it funny that the Quran supposedly recognizes Jesus as some great prophet and his virgin birth, but not any of his other miracles, his crucifixtion and his ressurection....Jesus was the son of God both equally man and equally God. There is no code thats just another one of Mans schemes to try and falsify who Jesus is and who he said he was. Muslims are worshipping a dead God. Jesus is alive and if we believe in him and who he is then we are made alive in him.

The Da Vinci code is a work of fiction. It has some element of truth and some element of falsehood. Islam too has some element of truth and some element of falsehood. Christianity in my opinion is all truth. God is perfect and he demands perfection. Man is imperfect. God sent Jesus to redeem us from our imperfection. In the old testament he used the sacrifice of the lamb for atonement. Jesus is the new covenant between God and Man. The holy spirit bears witness with our spirit. Jesus is the way, the truth and the light. No one comes before the Father but through the grace and mercy of Jesus. Blessing and wisdom to you in your search for spiritual peace. My peace lies in Jesus.

Interesting ... this would be a much more compelling if the word "fear" was omitted. God is not to be feared. God is Love is Peace. Fear is not a part of spirituality, but a device used by man to make others conform.
