Well many confuse this text in John 10:30 to say Jesus and God are one and the same person; but this text doesn't mean that. In fact what does Jesus/Bible tell us in these texts; doesn't it say that Jesus and God are seperate people?
JOHN 14:28 = "YE HAVE HEARD HOW I SAID UNTO YOU, I GO AWAY, AND COME AGAIN UNTO YOU. IF YE LOVED ME, YE WOULD REJOICE, BECAUSE I SAID, I GO UNTO THE FATHER: FOR MY FATHER IS GREATER THAN I."
JOHN 20:17 = "JESUS SAID UNTO HER, TOUCH ME NOT; FOR I AM NOT ASCENDED TO MY FATHER: BUT GO TO MY BRETHREN, AND SAY TO THEM, I ASCEND UNTO MY FATHER, AND YOUR FATHER; AND TO MY GOD AND YOUR GOD."
1COR.11:3 "BUT I WOULD HAVE YOU KNOW THAT THE HEAD OF EVERY MAN IS CHRIST; & THE HEAD OF THE WOMAN IS THE MAN; AND THE HEAD OF CHRIST IS GOD."
LUKE 18:19 "AND JESUS SAID UNTO HIM, WHY CALLEST THOU ME GOOD? NONE IS GOOD, SAVE ONE, THAT IS, GOD."
MATT.19:17 = "AND HE SAID UNTO HIM, WHY CALLEST THOU ME GOOD? THERE IS NONE GOOD BUT ONE, THAT IS, GOD: BUT IF THOU WILT ENTER INTO LIFE, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS."
****SEVERAL OTHER TEXTS SAY THERE'S ONLY TWO PERSONS:
1COR.1:3; 8:6; 1TIM.1:2; 2:5; GAL.1:3; PHILIPP.1:2; ROM.1:7; 2COR.1:2-3; 1THESS.1:1; 2THESS.1:2; 2TIM.1:2; PHILEMON 1:3; 1PETER 1:3; 2PETER 1:2; 1JOHN 1:3; 2JOHN 1:3.
*************************************************************
So what does John 10:30 really means--when it says "I and my Father are one?" Well let's go further down to John 10:38. Doesn't it tell us that God and Jesus are alike and similar in actions, features, and etc? Take a Father with his son or a Mother with her daughter; do they have characteristics like you; but does that mean they're you? No of course not; they're seperate, but are alike in different ways.
JOHN 10:38 = "BUT IF I DO, THOUGH YE BELIEVE NOT ME, BELIEVE THE WORKS: THAT YE MAY KNOW, AND BELIEVE, THAT THE FATHER IS IN ME, AND I IN HIM."
JOHN 5:19-20 = "THEN, ANSWERED JESUS AND SAID UNTO THEM, VERILY, VERILY, I SAY UNTO YOU, THE SON CAN DO NOTHING OF HIMSELF, BUT WHAT HE SEETH THE FATHER DO: FOR WHAT THINGS SOEVER HE DOETH, THESE ALSO DOETH THE SON LIKEWISE. FOR THE FATHER LOVETH THE SON, AND SHEWETH HIM ALL THINGS THAT HIMSELF DOETH: AND HE WILL SHEW HIM GREATER WORKS THAN THESE, THAT YE MAY MARVEL."
JOHN 17:21-22 = "THAT THEY ALL MAY BE ONE; AS THOU, FATHER, ART IN ME, AND I IN THEE, THAT THEY ALSO MAY BE ONE IN US: THAT THE WORLD MAY BELIEVE THAT THOU HAS SENT ME. AND THE GLORY WHICH THOU GAVEST ME I HAVE GIVEN THEM; THAT THEY MAY BE ONE, EVEN AS WE ARE ONE."
JOHN 14:10-11 = "BELIEVEST THOU NOT THAT I AM IN THE FATHER, AND THE FATHER IN ME? THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK UNTO YOU I SPEAK OF NOT MYSELF: BUT THE FATHER THAT DWELLETH IN ME, HE DOETH THE WORKS. BELIEVE ME THAT I AM IN THE FATHER, AND THE FATHER IN ME: OR ELSE BELIEVE ME FOR THE VERY WORKS' SAKE."
JOHN 5:36 = "BUT I HAVE A GREATER WITNESS THAN THAT OF JOHN: FOR THE WORKS WHICH THE FATHER HATH GIVEN ME TO FINISH, THE SAME WORKS THAT I DO, BEAR WITNESS OF ME, THAT THE FATHER HATH SENT ME."
JOHN 10:25 = "JESUS ANSWERED THEM, I TOLD YOU, AND YOU BELIEVED NOT: THE WORKS THAT I DO IN MY FATHER'S NAME, THEY BEAR WITNESS OF ME."

My answer is based on my position as a Christian, an evangelical christian to be more exact. Ortodox Christianity from the beginning has taught that Jesus (the Son) God (The Father) and the Holy Spirit are one God but three different persons, in essence Jesus and God and the Holy Spirit are one, but each has different roles. for example Jesus is the savior, God the father the creator and the Holy Spirit is the one who regenerates people. All three belong to the Godhead. Those who say that Jesus is not God, and consider themselves Christians, they are are no Chistians, because they are denying one of the most important doctrines of Christianity and most likely they belong to Cults . I'd rather not mention the names of these Cults but those who have knowledge on this matter will know what I'm talking about.

Not any more than the reflection in a perfectly-polished mirror of the sun, and the mirror are one. They are, in the sense that the perfectly-polished mirror reflects the attributes of the sun (heat and light); but, the sun does not descend into the mirror any more than God descends into a man--in this case, Jesus. The sun remains in the heavens; God remains in His heaven. The Holy Spirit is like the ray of the sun. Just as the mirror reflects the heat and light of the sun, Jesus reflected the knowledge and love of God to humanity.
Jesus, was not the only ray of the sun to descend to humanity. This, also, occured in the cases of Sabean, Zoroaster, Krishna, Abraham, Buddha, Moses, Muhammad, The Bab and Baha'u'llah; and will happen, not before a full thousand years in the future, whenever man, again, falls away from God, and needs the renewal of His Teachings.
So,,,the answer is No--and Yes. It is a paradox. The man, Jesus, was a personality. The Holy Spirit, within Him, was God. The same with the rest of the Divine Manifestations of God.

It's been a while since I explained this concept. So here goes again.
The Father is God he is all the God that there is. The Son (Jesus) is God He is all the God there is. The Holy Spirit is God and again all the God that there is. This is best understood by the mortal mind by looking at Creation. God has reveled Himself to us there as well as in the Bible.
The dimension of space are height, width and breadth. Each of these dimensions is infinite and by that definition each contains all space. Yet these dimension make up one space.
God is like that each is God all the God that can be because He is infinite yet these three are the One true God... Jim

There are so many scriptures that indicate that Jesus and God are not the same, and he knew it too. Some people, I feel are misinterpreting some scriptures without taking the contexts into consideration when they conclude that the two are the same.

best way I had it described to me was using a potato as a reference. You can have a baked potato, french fries or mashed potatos. All three different yet come from the same source. God is similar in that God reigns up in heaven in one form, He came to earth as Christ in human form and His spirit is a third form. hope that helps.
